ABC123

Hey there!
I had some free scrappy time today, finally! Just wanted to share a few pages. For
both of these challenges, I used Simple Stories Smarty Pants.
For my first page, I played with the September 15th Stuck sketch and combined it with the Creative Embellishments September challenge  and came up with this layout:
The second page I used a Scrap Our Stash sketch.

Here are some close ups:

I fussy cut the apples:

I used 3 of the Creative Embellishment Circle Chipboard and painted them red:

I added some paint spatters and layers of papers:

Here's the sketch:

For my second page I used a sketch from Scrap Our Stash along with the sketch, you had to use 3 school supplies on your layout.
I used:
1. staples
2 notebook edge
3. pencil
4. map
5. cursive lettering on lined paper
6. ruler
7. composition notebook background

Here are a few close ups:

I layered some of the journaling cards and photo mat cards for my layers:

Love the small stickers in this collection:

I fussy cut the pencil and punched a few borders:

I will be back shortly with another layout that I created awhile back to share.

Colors of Fall

Hey there!
Happy Monday!
Cards In Envy has a new challenge up today- Colors of Fall. Can you guess what the challenge is?!
It's an easy peasy one- use oranges, gold, yellow and browns on your A2 card.

For my card, I used a stencil and added inks to white cardstock. I then added a bit of mist because the white cardstock was just too white. Then I took a stamp and using black ink, stamped on it. I added a few rub-ons, twine, sentiment sticker, stiching and sequins:

Thanks for stopping by and have an awesome day!

Water Park Fun!

Hey scrappy friends!
There's nothing like a sketch to get the mojo flowing! My Scraps & More Sketches has a new sketch up on their blog today!
I used Crate Paper Poolside for this page of Austin when he was younger:

instead of using blocks like the sketch has, I decided to use a cut file and cut it on my Cameo in white cardstock. Then I colored it using watercolors. I love the soft look!

Here are some close ups:
I love the frames and mason jars in this collection!
I fussy cut the Guest Pass and added some enamel dots.
Here's my little monster:

I also fussy cut the "My Sweet Sunshine" card and "Tube Rental". I added some gold x's and hearts and also a few stickers from the collection:

I used Thickers from my stash for the title:

Here is the fun sketch:

Have you heard of the new scrappy company PhotoPlay? They have 2 collections out and they are available in the My Scraps & More Store! wait until you see them, they are gorgeous!
PhotoPlay sent the DT here a collection to work with and I received the Autumn Day Kit. I love this kit! It is full of fun fall colors!

I used the Autumn Day Plaid Paper for my background and added some watercolors. Then I added a few layers behind my photo:

Here are some close ups:

I love the adorable foxes in this collection. I fussy cut this one, the leaves and the trees out of the Autumn Day Foxes Paper.

The autumn card was cut from the Autumn Day Damask Paper:

Here I used some of the fun stickers from the Autumn Day Element Sticker Sheet and popped them up using foam tape:

Hello!

Hey there!
There's a new sketch up at Feeling Sketchy today!
I am a little sad that this is my last post for them as I have decided to step down since summer is over and I have to go back to work. I would like to thank them for giving me this opportunity to work with them and the talented design team.
I used Shimelle True Stories for my card:

I cut a pie chart with my Cameo and backed it with different papers and then stitched in place. I fussy cut the flowers and "Hello" frame, added a bit of twine a diecut flower.

                                                          Here is the fun sketch:

Have a great day!

Hello Beautiful UW LaCrosse!

Hey there scrappy friends!
Just wanted to share a page I created using Pink Paislee Citrus Bliss and a Turtle Soup sketch by Bev Code. I love the fabulous colors and elements in this beautiful collection!

Here are some close ups:

I challenged myself to use a colored cardstock background for this page. I usually don't use color cardstock any more for my backgrounds- it's usually white cardstock or patterned papers. Any how, I have a stash of colored cardstock, so I figure I may as well use some of it right?!

I added some doilies from my stash. I used strips of paper and stitched them in place. I also added some orange triangles and stitched them as well.

I added bits & pieces of the Citris Bliss embellies throughout my layout.

My title was done with a mix of things- Thickers, acetate "beautiful" both from the collection and some old mini alphas from my stash:

I finished the layout of with some spatters of Heidi Swapp Black Velvet Color Shine. I love this stuff and add it to most of my pages.
You can check out the sketch at Turtle Soup.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Lake Family

Hello!
It's my day to post the Trigger Tuesday challenge over at My Scraps & More today. This months themes are: Labor Day and Back To School.
I choose to do a Labor Day page since I had photos from last year's Labor Day celebration. I used Fancy Pants Makin' Waves:

A few close ups:

I used a few cut files from Just Nick- the words lake and family, the clouds, sun and waves. I backed the waves with papers from the Makin' Waves collection. The words were colored with a red Gelato I added some thread behind one of the buttons:

Here you can see the clouds, also backed with paper and some layers:

Here's the sun, which I added some stitching to:

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!

All You Need Is Love

Happy Labor Day!
Hope you have some fun plans!
There is a new challenge up on the Cards In Envy Blog today. The challenge is to create an A2 card (that fits in an envelope that doesn't require extra postage) that was inspired by a song.
I love the Beatles and wanted to make a wedding card and decided to use their song "All You Need Is Love". Yes, I was singing it as I typed, LOL!
Any who, here is my card using scraps:

                                                                   Hope you will join us!

August Project 12

Hey there!
It's going to be a hot one today- 85 degrees and humid!
I am helping Sierra and the StuCo group sell food/drinks at a local craft expo at one of the lakes here. Hope we can stay cool.
Today I am sharing my 2 page layout and sketch for my Project 12 challenge over at Turtle Soup.

I used Lawn Fawn papers along with Elle's Studio cork embellies and MME brads:

MS&M Sketches

Hey there! Happy Friday!
There's a new sketch up over at My Scrap's & More Sketches today.
I used Basic Grey Prism for this layout along with the sketch:

Here are some close ups:

I added some strips of paper and stitched in place.
I used some My Mind's Eye brads from my stash:

I wrote my journaling right on the page, something I am challenging myself to do more of.
The star is from my stash and I colored it with a Gelato and water. The "Big News" journal tag I believe is from Elle's Studio and the brad is another from MME:

Here is the fun sketch from Audrey:

Hope you find some time to play along as there is a fun prize up for grabs!

Wait What?

Happy September 1st!
It's a sad day at my house today- it's the first day of school! That means we have to get back to a routine here, LOL!
There is a new sketch up at Feeling Sketchy today.
I used October Afternoon Daily Flash and Woodland Park for this card:

I used eyelets and twine from my stash. I fussy cut the "Wait... What" out of one of the papers.
I think it turned out cute!

Here is the sketch:

Enjoy your day!
