Make A Wish!

Happy Saturday!
It's my last day up on the Just Imagine Blog today.  With school starting on September 2, that means I head back to work:(  Where oh where did the summer go? I need to lighten my scrappy load a little and I have been with them for quite some time, so I decided to let someone else work with their fabulous punches and circle cutter.
Today I am sharing a birthday card I made. I used the Kreaxions 4 in 1 Punch #910 to punch my border and added the negative piece (pink) to the top of my border to give it more depth. I used October Afternoon Cakewalk:

Here is a close up of the border:

Sunday, Sunday!

Happy Sunday peeps!
Just popping in real quick to share a layout I created using a sketch from Scrap Our Stash. I have been trying to use my stash and this is the perfect place to find challenges to use it!

I used Echo Park Splash for my background paper and the rest is Woodland Park by Echo Park.
I used photos of the kids on our trip to Canada. Bev's granddaughter is in the one on the right.

I scrunched the ribbon while stitching:

I added a few butterfly stickers on pop dots:

I love the triangles on this fun sketch:

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Super Saturday!

It's my day up on the Just Imagine Blog today.
I am sharing a birthday card I made for my niece. I used the fabulous circle cutter to cut a 3" circle. I used Stencil B and marked just the short lines. I then punched every other line with the Kreaxions 4 in 1 Punch # 916. I also used the same punch, with no insert, to punch a border. I added part of that border to the top of the card to make a pennant:

Here are a few close ups:

I used October Afternoon Cakewalk  collection. Isn't it fun?!

For my second layout over at Sketch-N-Scrap, I used Echo Park Splash line. I have had this line for quite some time. I am trying to use up some of my older lines to make room for new;)

Got Ya!

Happy Friday!
Just wanted to share a layout I created using the August 15 sketch at Stuck?! Sketches. I used Fancy Pants Merry Little Christmas along with a burlap bow from Fancy Pants Burlap & Bouquet collection on this silly layout of Austin Christmas Eve. He unwrapped his gift from Connie and put the bow on his head. He saw me grabbing the camera and took it off, but not before I got a few pics:)

Sweet & Fresh

Hey there scrappy friends!
Yesterday I had a little free scrappy time and decided to play along with a few more Let's Capture Our Memories August challenges.
The first challenge was sketch #85. I used photos of Greg and Sierra after they had picked blueberries from our garden. BTW, it took almost 7 years to get them going and now we have lots for fresh eating and I think I froze 3 gallon baggies full. Greg's perseverance finally paid off! He was so proud of his blueberries this year:

Here are a few close ups:

I used some Tim Holtz Grungeboard letters I have had for years along with Studio Calico South of Market:

I fussy cut the mason jar and added twine and a couple of stick pins. (I recently saw this on a blog, I can't remember where, but would love to give credit if it was yours.)

I finally used this big Dear Lizzy & sign I was hoarding:

Here is the fabulous sketch by Laura Whitaker:

I also played along with a couple of their card sketches. We have a few weddings next month so these sketches were perfect!

Best of Friends

That's the theme for todays challenge at Cards In Envy!
Since I am not a stamper, I had to think hard on what I could use for this challenge. Finally it hit me! I had some paper from October Afternoon Cakewalk that had some pics of people with friends at a birthday party. I thought this was perfect!

I added some stitching, a journaling card (A Special Day) and a few stickers and walaahh, a quick and easy birthday card!

Lazy Days

Happy Monday!
Where did the weekend go? It went way too fast as usual.
There's a new sketch up at LGS today!

I used Echo Park Sweet Summertime for this layout of us at my friend Bev's cottage in Canada:

I used strips of scraps from this collection along with a journaling card. I added some paint spatters:

some stitching:

and some stickers backed with cardstock and pop dots:

This sketch is perfect if you are trying to use your scraps of papers or ribbons!
Here is the fun sketch by Jenessa:

Hope you enjoy the rest of your day!

The BBQ- JI Reveal

Happy Sunday!
It's reveal day up on the Just Imagine Blog today.
This months themes were: outdoors, nature or fun & bright.
I used the Kreaxions 4 in 1 Punch #304 and Star Stencil for my doily and the same punch for my border and pennants:

I think I covered all 3 themes ;)

Hope you will stop on over to the Just Imagine Blog and check out what the rest of the DT did.
Have a great day!

You Are Loved: IE August Challenge

It's time for another Inspiration Elevator challenge!

Our main purpose here at IE is to challenge ourselves, each other and YOU to take the creative process to the next level;  to inspire growth and change in our scrapbooking beyond the mundane.
You can see all of Inspiration Elevator's previous challenges at our blog and catch us on Facebook .
We are thrilled to welcome back as a guest designer with our team, the uber creative and wonderfully artsy Misty Russell!
This month's challenge is issued by the amazing Jayne Morgan. Jayne mixes classic styling with fun and funky embellishments and artistic mixed media touches. Here is her challenge for us, in her own words:
Time(d) to Change
It's no secret amongst my crafty friends that my biggest hang up when scrapbooking is procrastination. Being a perfectionist can certainly benefit the end result, but quite often, we worry so much about the outcome that we forget to enjoy the process! On a couple of occasions when I've had to complete a tight deadline for DT calls or assignments, I've been forced to throw caution aside and complete a page within an hour. This for me in itself is a miracle, but the most surprising part was that I not only thoroughly enjoyed the carefree process, but the end results have been some of my most favourite pages. Here's lies the inspiration for this months challenge - I'd like you to gather your photo's, papers and a collection of supplies you think you may need, hibernate to your creative space and take 30 minutes to create whatever you like.........not a minute more! Contrary to what you may think, the pressure is off here. Chances are the final result will not be your best ever project as the time constraint is a little extreme (!), but it's a well known saying that creativity flourishes when we are willing to take risks! Enjoy the process.

This was a tough challenge for me because I usually have to let my layout sit once I get it some what laid out and then come back later to see if I still like it. It was also hard not to add some sort of mixed media to it. I did take time to add some of my normal stitching :)
I used My Mind's Eye Collectables for this layout of Sierra:

Here are a few close ups:

Here's a complete list of this month's participating designers!  We encourage you to check out each designer's creation this month, then come on back and give the challenge a try yourself!
Lisa Moen (I'm so glad you are here!)

Meantime, if you've wanted to participate as a guest designer with Inspiration Elevator, just contact team lead, Ann at ann jobes at bell dot net
Now it's your turn to get creating and you have 30 minutes to do it, and share your blog link at the IE blog. We would love to see what you were inspired to make!
