Cousins

Hello and happy Saturday!
I have a Christmas layout to share that I have up on the Just Imagine Blog today.
I used the Kreaxions 4 in 1 Punch #914 and the Star Stencil to create my doily and also the same punch for my border. I used an older Crate Paper Christmas line that I wasn't real fond of when I bought it, but now I am loving it! Shows that our tastes do change as we get older ;)

Holiday Memories

Happy Friday!
I know Christmas has come and gone, but I am trying to get my photos scrapped. LOL!
There is a new sketch up on the My Scraps & More Sketch Blog today and we would love to have you play along!

I used Fancy Pants Merry Little Christmas line for this layout of Sierra and Austin opening their presents:

Playing Along

Hey there and happy Tuesday!
We had a 3 day weekend last weekend and I played along with a few crops and finally scrapped for myself instead of doing DT stuff. It really was a nice change and I used some of my stash for a change.

My Scraps & More is having the Love Is In The Air Crop and you have until February 23 to play along. You can check out the challenges HERE.

Turtle Soup is also having their monthly crop and you have until the 23rd over there to link your projects too. You can check out their challenges HERE.

Any who, I would love to share some of the pages I created:

Our camper sitting by the lake last summer using JilliBean Soup

A few close ups:

This photo of Greg and the kids was taken in Niagara Falls. I used a Stuck?! Sketch and played along with Creative Embellishments February challenge. I used the colors blue and yellow from their photo and used the word DREAM:

I added some water color:

I added light modeling paste on top of the Creative Embellisment stars and then added Glimmer Mist and a little water to blend:

I used a mask and added modeling paste to my background paper and the added my title and stitched it:

I used a sketch by Audrey Yeager for this layout of Bender along with Echo Park:

And of coarse, a few close ups:

I created this layout combining a few recipes, both were to use only 2 pieces of patterned paper, which is a challenge itself for me:

I used My Minds Eye for this one along with my Kreaxions Circle Cutter to make my circle and then I sliced it into pie shapes:

If you have scrappy time, we would love to have you play along on both sites!
Thanks for sharing your day with me!

CIE

Happy Monday Scrappy Friends!
There is a new challenge up on the Cards In Envy Blog today.
Today's challenge is to create an A2 card using the colors red, pink and/or white.

I used Crate Paper's Love Notes line for my card and fussy cut the border and sentiment. It has been a while since I used vellum on anything, but I love this heart vellum that's in their collection and just had to use it:

Hope you will pop on over to the CIE Blog and see what the rest of the design team did with this challenge and play along with us!

Remember This

It's Monday!
That means a new sketch is up over at Let's Get Sketchy!
I used a photo of Sierra, Greg and Austin in front of the Casino by Niagara Falls along with Crate Papers Love Note Collection. I just love the colors in this line!

Hope you will play along with us!

Round Robin

Good morning and welcome to the weekend!
I am so happy, it's been a long week!
I played along this month at the Turtle Soup with the round robin and had a blast! Just wanted to share my layout I lifted from Lady Bing. I am loving Fancy Pants lately and used the Be Loved line for this page of Sierra and Austin:

I finally got some watercolors and this was my first time using them.
Here are some close ups:

Thanks for stopping by and sharing your day with me!

Inspiration Elevator February Challenge

You may recall that the purpose of this challenge group is to take our scrapbooking to the next level, to stretch our creative process and to grow as artists by embracing challenges that make us think, work and extend ourselves. You can view all of the challenges our Inspiration Elevator Blog, here. We are thrilled to welcome back Audrey Yeager this month as a guest designer. Audrey recently came into ownership of My Scraps & More online store, and has graciously offered a prize this month! Read on to find out how you could win!

Our challenge this month comes from the very talented Michelle Hernandez. Here's how she expressed this month's challenge: "Inspiration Elevator Challenge February- Phoenix Rising. I'm going through one of the toughest times of my life right now. Huge changes, dashed expectations, embarrassing set backs- it's all overwhelming, all the time. I have the love and support of my family and my health- so it could be worst but still - it sucks. My challenge for February: Tell a story visually or through your journaling that speaks to your greatest challenge and most importantly how you dug yourself out. This should be a celebration of your faith, personal resilience and/or creativity. A story you'd like to tell your kids, grandkids or yourself when things get rough. "

I choose to tell my story about how I quit my job in November, 2012. I typed my journaling and tucked it behind the green patterned paper because I am not quite ready to share it yet.

Here are a few close ups:

This was a hard challenge for me and I know this isn't one of my best layouts, but it did help getting my story down on paper.
Thanks for the challenge Michelle!

Check out what the other IE members did with this challenge:

We would LOVE to see you take up Michelle's challenge this month, so if you do, please share it at our linkup on the Inspiration Elevator blog.

So, how do you win Audrey's prize? It's simple - leave a comment! Audrey will choose one random comment from one random blog to win the $15 gift certificate to My Scraps & More. Thanks so much, Audrey!

You Make Me So Very Happy!

Hello Scrappy Friends!
It's my day up on the Just Imagine Blog today.
I created a card using the Kreaxions 4 in 1 Punch #601, B Stencil and the awesome Circle Cutter.
I cut a 5cm hole in my patterned paper using the circle cutter. I took the B Stencil and traced the long lines only on my paper. I stuck the punch in the circle and punched on every line. I put it on wood grained paper and took my circle cutter with the pencil tip and made my circle. I then stitched over it. I added twine to my original cut out circle and added one of the punched flowers to the center and also on my sentiment:
